This gender and disability audit will be conducted with the NGO during February-April 2016. It will be developed with NGO and carried out by The Gender Research Alliance team of two trained facilitators. The audit follows a highly participative methodology and takes its approach from the ILO’s participatory Gender Audit, and the Inter-Action Gender Audit model. In addition to looking at how and why gender and disability issues are addressed in the NGO, GRA will develop and pose specific questions about disability inclusion. The resulting report will support the NGO to:
Establish a coherent Policy on Gender and disability.
Develop a gender and disability perspective in substantive work.
Ensure that specific institutional arrangements are in place.
Build competence in gender and disability inclusion.
